Three act narrative structure of mistaken identity

 

Act one:

boy1 walking to school (close up) [first pov shot then camera flips to close up]

Boy2 running after friend (wide shot across the road)

Back to close up of boy1

Boy2 says "yo"

Boy1 no response

Boy 2 "Yo Keith" with the second yo being louder

boy1 is startled and takes out his earphones looking down to the right as he notices it is his friend

[camera moves down to boy2 in frame then zooms out to a mid shot so that both boys can be seen in frame]

Boy1 "ayy what you sayin bro"

the two boys dap each other up

They talk about meeting up after school to do music vid (mid shot)

Boy2 "im good im good" "been working on some new lyrics init"

Boy1 "swear down i been working on that beat you asked me to make as well"

Boy2 "calm icl i think this ones gonna be the best one still"

Boy1 starts to say something while checking his phone but realises the time

Boy1 "yooo its 47 were gonna be late man!!!"

They run off turning the corner out of sight (flash forward to the boy running towards the camera away from the gang members (if there's time)) (wide shot from across the road as the title is displayed intergrated into the wall it then cuts to black so that the title is more visble) [try to shoot the wide shot so that the wall is in the middle third of the frame so when the title is more visable it is able to be in the centre of the screen]

Act two:

Boy2 comes into classroom

could add a window transition here as if the camera is going through the window or just shoot from outside to begin with

Teacher1 says "late again i see.... sit down and turn to page 13"

Boy2 mumbles "sorry" and sits down

The teacher continues to speak but the boy is looking out the window. The teachers voice fades out [maybe add some vignette to represent him being dreamy] cuts 3 more times to different classrooms where the boy is still looking out the classroom in each lesson [camera shots are taken from outside the window looking in try to keep the boy in the centre third of the shot]

In the final classroom shot the teachers voice fades back in as the bell starts ringing

Teacher1 "and remember make sure you've done the homework it's due next lesson"

Shot of boys walking out of the school discussing plans to meet up later that day to shoot music vid inaudible due to the loud kids around

Boy2 shouts "make sure you bring the speaker this time" as they part ways

Act three:

Gang members see the live and think he is an opp so they roll up on the boys

close up of boy2's face [heartbeat sound starts]

pov of him looking at both walls then at the back of the alley way and the front (both sides have members approaching (group people so it looks like there's more of them))

close up of the weapon being raised

Long shot of alley way vfx birds fly up in the sky and gang members run out

cuts to black
